base 2024 wrapped!

Lily and Amelia started 2024 with so many ideas of how we can make a difference to people’s lives…

BASE was hand-crafted from a mix of our passionate interest in mental healthcare and an urgency to minimise the rapid increased prevalence of eating disorders and mental health distress in young people.

With our clinical qualifications behind our belt, we wanted to share this knowledge ASAP! We want to create opportunities for young people to have access to safe and relevant discussions around eating disorders and mental health.
Thank you to all of the schools and community groups that share our concern and passion, and are willing to involve two young health professionals in the solution.

We’re currently a unique balance of the youngest / relatable AND most qualified and equipped to handle these discussions.

✨We’ve been teenagers ourselves with access to social media, yet have seen one-on-one with clients the damage the online world can do to their self esteem.

✨We’ve lived through rapid changes of diet trends, and can see our clients drown in mixed messages on what and how to eat.

✨We’ve listened to young people feel disconnected from outdated messages of wellbeing, and are well-informed of recent research that reflect inclusivity and modern world frameworks.

Turns out, there’s a LOT of work that needs to be put in to make a difference in this space, but it’s been so rewarding so far!

In our first year of operation, we’re so proud to have already made a positive change and so thankful to everyone who’s supported us along the way 🥰

As the year wraps up, BASE will be on holidays for the end of the year until mid January. We’re practicing what we preach - time for reflection, self care and personal fulfillment.

We can’t wait to hit the ground running in 2025, more inspired than ever!
